A good time was had by all at this year’s Race Night which raised £1064 for local charities. The event was held at St Peter’s Church Hall and attracted around 80 keen ‘Punters’, who were keen to bet on their favourite Nag.
Hadleigh Castle insist on live action so rather that DVD’s use wooden horses, skilfully ridden (actually reeled in) by the jockeys. The race program had eight races, all kindly pre-sponsored, and included an additional Champion of Champions race.  Assistant District Governor Daryl Peagram was soon saddled up, and won his race.
