RAF BENEVOLENT FUND

Adrian Maxwell gave us a talk in June about the exploits of his father as a ‘rear gunner’ in a RAF bomber during the Second World War.

The club presented Adrian with a donation for the RAF Benevolent Fund. We have received the following update from Adrian.

“I went to the Bomber Command Memorial service on 30 June and then to the RAF Club for lunch. I was able to formally donate the cheque from Kenilworth Rotary to Hannah Bower, the RAF Benevolent Fund 'Major Giving and Upkeep Club Manager’.

The fund has just launched a campaign ‘Join the search. Change a life’ which is designed to locate veterans and families not aware of the help the fund can give.

The donation was very well received.”
