Senlac Rotary Club Donates to Local Causes

Wed, Jan 24th 2018 at 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Seaview Project and St Michaels Hospice

We were pleased to welcome three members from our neighbouring club, Rotary Club of Bexhill; President Rev. Paul Frostick, Vice President Graham Forster and Rotarian Graham Dawson who is organising the Annual Spring lunch on 15th April 2018. Graham D spoke about the Spring Lunch which will be held again at St Mary’s School, Bexhill and will mainly be in the same format except that this year there will be an auction of promises with very good lots up for grabs. The event will again support our own Yellowmen amongst other good causes. Details will be circulated in due course but John Relfe will co-ordinate for Senlac.

Another happening on the evening was the ever pleasant action of handing over donations. A representative from each of the Seaview Project, Sue Burgess, and St Michaels Hospice, Felicity James, also joined us for the evening and were presented with cheques over just over £800. The donations, through our Trust Fund, were from the proceeds of A Musical Showcase which had been held at the Stables Theatre last October. The organiser of the event, Rotarian Peter Cocker, presented the charities with the cheques and each representative gave a brief presentation about their work.
