Breaking News  - Rotary Radio UK

Rotary Radio UK is now live!

The project team has built new studios, installed equipment and station went live on 13th October 2018.

The Story So Far

In Spring 2017, Rotary members Steve Wood and John Robinson were working at hospital radio and discussed why Rotary did not have its own radio station.

That idea grew into facts and figures, a business plan and then taking the ambitious project forward for the support of Rotary Clubs.

The project to establish a radio station for Rotary in RIBI was agreed at our District Council Meeting on 15th February 2018.

Rotary South East and Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland made grants for equipment. An Rotary Radio UK team was formed and the studios have been built and equipped in Sheerness.  The station has been test broadcasting for some time.

Now Rotary Radio UK moves into creating a regular schedule of presenters, news and entertaining programmes alongside its good music.

The Studios

The studios are based at The Criterion Heritage Centre in Blue Town on the Isle of Sheppey and are being built as part of a major enhancement to the Centre.

We are looking for enthusiastic people to join the team as music show presenters, newsreaders, news and sports presenters and others.

We are also looking for people with technical skills to join the studio management team.
