This is an absolutely brilliant trip which I have been orgaising for at least the last 10 years. The Museum is in the grounds fo Sir William McAlpine and boasts a full sized steam locamotive with carriages, a steam powered Carousel and other old time fairground attractions whilst under cover there is a train museum and large model railway layout. Again outdoors is a station from which there are 3 or 4 trips per hour on the private track and where you can enjoy tea coffee or a soft drink as well as nibbles.

There is one opportunity to get a footplate ride if you would like this please place "F" on your selection below. If there is more than one applicant I will draw lots.

The costs are the same as they've been for many years namely 17 to adult £10 - 16 or under £5 - under 10 free. You cannot purchase tickets on the day but must have a valid invitation.

It is easy to get there from Marlow travel towards Henley on the A4155 and after 6/7 miles you will come to Toad Hall Garden Centre on your left. On your right take a turn into Icehouse Lane (A narrow lane) after about a mile at the top of the hill turn right and after about 200 tards you will turn right again into Fawley Hill estate where you will be asked for your invitation.
Proceed to the car park (ample size) and walk to the museum etc. just a few yards.

There is normally a display of vintage cars and there is always the many deer to be enjoyed as well. It truly is a spledid day out for you your children and grandchildren and of course you can take a picnic (which I always do) Gates open at 12.00 noon and most people will have left by 5.00 pm.
