District Quiz v Lockerbie Rotary Club

Thu, Apr 26th 2018 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

A team from the Lockerbie Club will visit to contest the next round of the District Quiz.

President Scott Elliot welcomed a delegation from Lockerbie Rotary Club to last week's meeting of the Rotary Club for a second-round tie of the Rotary District quiz.  The Lockerbie team was John Carpenter, Tucker McGuiness, Blair Crossan and Dr Jenny Lowles while the Hawick team comprised Gus Neilson, Ron Smith, Jim Walker and Sandy Bannerman and the quiz was under the control of quizmaster Alan McCreadie.  The Hawick team ended up victorious by 20 points to 12 and now move into the next round.  The President thanked both teams for an interesting contest and a pleasant evening was held with the Rotarian friends from Lockerbie.
