NEW FOREST ROTARY CLUB CHARITY QUIZ EVENING.

Fri, Mar 9th 2018 at 12:00 am -

A very successful fund raising evening, held in Lyndhurst Community Centre, with over 130 competitors.

New Forest Rotary Club held their second Quiz Night in the Lyndhurst Community Centre on Friday 9 March 2018. It was judged a great success and the main hall was full with very jolly crowd, with all 130 tickets sold.

In addition to teams raised by members there were welcome visitors fromLyndhurst Probus Club, Lymington Rotary (2 teams), Lyndhurst and District U3A (2 teams) and a Nordic Walkers Group (3 teams).

There was a splendid fish and chip supper, a very reasonable cash bar and a raffle , with all the prizes donated by Rotarians.

The evening raised a profit of an amazing £1,400, the major benificiary being Rotary's the 'End Polio Now' campaign.

The worthy winners were Ken Garrod's 'Brockenhurst Blockbusters'.

A special raffle prize of a major 'Pamper Session' at the JW Hair and Beauty Salon in Lymington High Street was donated by Mrs Noi Long (Robin Long's daughter-in- law) and was won by Rotarian Arthur Paqe.  We will wait to see the results.

Well done the helpers on the night: Nicola and Toni Antoni, EddieBaker,  Ken Ball, Bridget Gook, John Kernan, President Tim Richardson, Tony Roe, Clive Rutland and Shirley, George and Anne Stephens and family, Malcolm Woolley, plus of course the main organiser Dave Smith.
