District Assembly Meeting

May I extend a warm welcome to every Rotarian in District to attend the reformatted District Assembly on the 28th April at Mountbatten School, Romsey, SO51 5SY.

 We will have complementary refreshments including bacon rolls to tempt you along to Assembly where you will be able to SHARE , EXPLORE and DEVELOP ideas from colleagues and workshops to help your club have a great year.

 Assembly is not only for club officers but every Club Rotarian, even those who have been before so that everyone can be updated on the core Rotary Service activities.

 I will be opening the Assembly showing a short video of Incoming RI President Barry Rassin. Barry will make a great RI President and I am sure you will be impressed by the video and his theme ‘Be the Inspiration’ 

 Following the opening , we have made major changes to help the incoming Presidents and all club Rotarians. This year you have the opportunity to take part in three workshops covering the core service teams with each workshop  being repeated three times.

There will be workshops in:

Membership              Community and Vocational,            International, Foundation,              Youth,             Compliance including the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR),           Marketing including PR and Social media  and     Webmasters.

Each of these workshops will last for 40 minutes. The exception to these shorter workshops are in the specialist areas of Secretaries and Treasurers which will last for up to two hours.  The presenters will be including an interactive element in their sessions

 To conclude we will have a final plenary session to bring everything together.

 We have a great District team who only have one purpose, to help clubs. Together, the District and Club teams will be a
