Swimathon 2018

Sunday 15th July 2018 at the 'Everyone Active' Washington Leisure Centre

Our 4th Annual Charity swimathon was held on Sunday 15th July 2018. A huge thank you to all of the teams who participated with 62 swimmers of all ages completing a total of 2189 lengths of the pool at the Washington Leisure Centre to raise funds for the 'Sunderland Autism Outreach Team' and other great local causes.

Well done to everyone for your efforts in supporting this event. Our appreciation also goes to the management and staff of 'Everyone Active' for their co-operation and assistance. Finally, not forgetting our own organisers and marshals for their time in planning and running the event. We look forward to seeing you all again for 'Swimathon 2019'

All sponsorship monies received will be shared as follows:-

Teams of between four and six swimmers were allocated a swimming lane for 30 minutes. It was a fun and friendly event with participants enjoying their swim and completing the number of lengths they were comfortable with - all in the knowledge that money being raised will be for very worthwhile causes.
