We had a very interesting visit to Stanley Ferry (near Wakefield) to see the Canal Lock-Gate Workshops. We were shown the process from the raw timber arriving to the completed gate leaving the workshop. Each gate is custom designed and built. Even if a gate has previously been made for that lock it has to be re-designed each time a new one is required (about every 25 years) as the canal walls move and wear.

We then had lunch at The Three Horse Shoes, Oulton (which we had previously visited after the Oldfield Rhubarb tour).

Charitable Trust Fund

This is the vehicle that donates the money that we have raised to the various good causes that we support. Its official name is The Rotary Club Of Bradford Blaize Trust Fund and its registered number with the Charity Commission is 514621.

Club Administration

This committee organises social events and deals with the day to day running of the club.

PR, Internet and Other Communications

This committee exists to provide PR and communications between the members and also to provide links to non members through the web site and Facebook.
