This morning the Rotary E- Club of Aviation and Southport Flying Club
combined to fly 10 Young Carers from Young Carers Queensland
on a scenic flight around the Gold Coast.
For many of the young males and females it was their first flight in an
aircraft.
So they were very excited to have this experience.
The Southport Flying Club provided 9 pilots and 9 Aircraft for this
flight and the Club also provided a splendid morning tea for all.
The Rotary E-Club of Aviation is in district 1010 Scotland UK,
and this flight is part of a World Wide Young Carers Flight.
Within the next 20 hours similar flights will be taking place in
Liverpool,Dundee,Holland,Germany,Switzerland,USA and New Zealand.
These Young Carers devote their life to caring for family members who
have a range of health problems.
Rotary and Southport Flying Club were very pleased to give them a
uplifting experience.Lance Weller
