Tony Evans, Nailsworth Town Crier

In 2017 Tony Evans received an award from Nailsworth Town in recognition of having been the Town Crier for 25 years.


Tony Evans has been ‘Crying’ since 1993, both at town events, and representing Nailsworth across the world. He has taken part in competitions around the globe and in 2013 Tony organised a competition here in Nailsworth for Town Criers from across the UK.

We help out with many local community projects: The Older Driver Forum, Forest Green Community Garden, Stroud Court, Box Wood, Nailsworth Spring Clean, Arkell Centre lunches, Alzheimer's Cafe, Nailsworth Noel and Festival, and Stroud Ambitions.
