Josey described how the tragedy had unfolded from his parents point of view, leaving them stranded for 20 hours with water up to their waists in their bungalow.
He stressed how the whole community had pulled together to help those in most need. The urgent immediate requirement is to ensure safe water toprevent the spread of disease. To this end he is seeking donations from neighbouring clubs to purchase Water Filters from Safe Water Trust. He will take some of these out himself at the end of September and the Trust will arrange a shipment of larger numbers as soon as possible.
