Ed Davies, a recent resident to Gloucestershire, in his first career worked as a RAF armourer technician.
He gave an illustrated talk on his experience of armament of the Vulcan bomber.
In 1982 the Vulcan was used in battle with one plane supported by a fleet of aerial refuelling planes from Ascension to Falklands.
Ed brought a WW2 aircraft sextant to show, which was for a series of sights on celestial bodies to calculate the planes position?!; not easy then.
Ed is a volunteer at the Staverton Air Museum, which has free entry and encourages all ages to visit.
