Ayr Fort Players

Ayr Fort Players are Ayr's oldest surviving amateur theatre company.

From humble beginnings in a school classroom to the bright lights of the stage, Ayr Fort Players have become a theatrical staple, entertaining audiences across south west Scotland since 1946.

Over the years they have built a reputation for entertaining the public with classic farces and modern dramas including See How They Run, Move Over Mrs Markham, Noises Off, No Sex Please We're British!, Stepping Out and The Ladykillers. Also Scottish comedy classics - The Steamie and Whisky Galore, and stage productions of popular TV sitcoms, Faulty Towers, Dad's Army and The Vicar of Dibley.
