Lunch meeting at the Wales Air Ambulance in Welshpool

Wed 8th August 2018 at 12.00 pm - 3.00 pm

We met at the Wales AA at the Welshpool airport for 12 noon then has lunch at a local garden centre.

A group of members and Dave's wife Heather arrived at the Welshpool International Airport (!) for 12 noon ( Paul was late - said it was due to tractors....) and were delighted to see the helicopter was on the tarmac. The team had just got back from a call out and were having lunch so we chatted to Lynne Hughes (fundraising assistant) and between ourselves until they were refreshed. We then strolled over to the helicopter and were enthralled by the pilot James and his tales of calls outs, funding, his flying experience and much more. We had a chance to ask questions and look over the facilities before they were called out on another "mission" which we hope was successful and saved more lives. Timing for us was perfect - we saw the helicopter, heard the stories and watched a take off. Inspiring and confirmed that our annual donations and support do make such a difference.
