Pupils from South Parade Primary School with their new dictionaries, following presentation to them by President Peter Williams and VP Tony Sargeant

Dictionaries for Life:

Every year, the Rotary Club of Ossett presents each final year primary school pupil with a ‘Dictionary for Life’. The books, which have a retail value of £15, are beautifully illustrated and designed to provide a valuable source of information through secondary school and adulthood.

This year 336 dictionaries are being distributed to all eligible children attending Ossett schools, benefiting hundreds of school children.

Comments received from both children and parents show how much the dictionaries are appreciated and valued. Ossett Rotary President Peter Williams and Vice President Tony Sargeant commenced the round of presentations this week at South Parade and Holy Trinity primary schools with other schools to follow, completing all schools by the end of the summer term.
