Due to unforeseen circumstances there was
no speaker at last week's meeting of the Rotary club but, after business,
President Mairhi Trickett produced a general knowledge quiz which she had
prepared for such an eventuality, and as well as stretching the grey matter of
the members it resulted in a keen competition and, at times, humorous event
which was much enjoyed and appreciated by all.
It was also decided to make a donation to the Macmillan Cancer Centre at the Borders General Hospital from funds that had recently been raised which met with all-round approval.
