This a fundraising event as well as a social evening and normally has an element of competition in the very best spirit! This time the charity to benefit wias 'Life Straws'. As special guests we had two representatives on behalf of the Rotary Club of Brynmawr in Wales. This club is a leading supporter of Life Straws and we were given a very interesting and inspiring talk about the charity. The quiz raised over £550. Another guest was Paul Holden who was the very competent quizmaster. Paul is the owner and editor of the monthly Worthing |Journal which is a very popular magazine featuring Worthing past and present. He presented our Welsh friends with a framed representation of 'Sunny Worthing.'
Please see under 'What we do' - Life Straws -on this website to learn more about this very worthy charity.
