Five a Side Primary School Tournament

The event was held at the Indoor Sports Hall at the New Bexhill College, Penland Road on Saturday 28th Jan 2006.

Eight teams from local primary schools competed in the annual indoor five-a-side football tournament. This was the 15th tournament sponsored by Bexhill RC through Rotarian Bill Smith of the Youth & Vocational Committee.

The tournament is organised by Sidley Primary School teacher Mark Heffernan, and was won by the Little Common team who beat the team from St Peter and St Paul school 5-1. They had won through after defeating Sidley A team 1-0, with St Peter and St Paul knocking out the King Offa team 5-1 in the other semi-final. Also taking part were teams from Pebsham, St Mary Magdalene's and All Saints.

The pictures show Bexhill Rotary Club President David Stedman giving out runners up medals to the St Peter and St Paul team (in green) and winners medals and trophy to Little Common.
