Members were deleighted to hear that Imogen has successfully completed her PHd. Her research resulted in the elimination of the use of pastic beads in a range of facial scrub products in the UK by both consumer choice putting pressure of manufacturers and also by government legislation.
She recounted her time with the all female crew of EXXpedition. This voyage carried out surveys of plastic pollution in the Pacific Ocean last year.
In April she takes up a new post as a research fellow for National Geographic and Sky Ocean Rescue.
