In addition we are in discussion with the Town Council about the following Community Iniatives:-

  1. Organise a Santa Fun Run as part of the Town’s Christmas Activities in December.
  2. Work with them and NEDDC to provide a Skateboard Park for use by young people as skateboarding will become an Olympic Event in 2020. We need Your support to persuade the Council to support this.
  3. Establish a Rotary Heart Walk around Cliffe Park to encourage people who have suffered heart attack, stroke or other illness in their recovery by walking short distances.

The committee is also seeking to bring a speaker from Shoe Aid to one of our meetings to look at the possibility of recycling and /or redistributing old shoes to help both local people and those in developing countries.
