£500 donation made to The Cube Disability


THE CUBE DISABILITY - Daventry

 

“Cube Disability” based at Abbey Retail Park in Daventry offers a wide range of quality, rewarding activities and experiences, combining education and fun, for adult clients with learning difficulties & autism.

 

They offer each client a tailored programme to suit their individual needs, with access to wheelchairs, British Sign Language, Autism Support and much more.

 

Holidays, day out, sports, many crafts, music, fashion and literacy and education are all a key part of their philosophy.

 

Their aim being to educate and stimulate in a fun, interesting and safe environment.

 

Daventry ‘Danetre’ Rotary Club were pleased to be able to help and support them in this work, by the recent Donation of £ 500.00 – which is to be specifically used to provide outings, events and special activities ….. chosen by and for the clients themselves.

 

The recent Halloween Party, held on Tuesday afternoon 30th October, was a very successful example of this.

 

Some of the ‘Danetre’ Rotary Club donation being used to provide the food, an Entertainer and a Face Painter.

 

The photo shows everyone have a really exciting, enjoyable and of course, very “Scary” time.

more For 20 years, RDA Daventry with the help of a team of dedicated volunteers, has enabled about 12 disabled people a week to ride a pony.

more We are overjoyed to have helped Daventry and District Council improve the look of the roundabout adjacent to the Icon Building. Using whips supplied by the Woodland Trust roundabout has been planted in the design of the Rotary Logo.
