Cambuslang Rotary Club’s meeting on Wednesday 24th October had an international flavour with a total of 4 visitors from opposite sides of the globe.
First to arrive were Bruce and Robin Hunt from the Rotary Club of South Gladstone in Queensland, Australia closely followed by Gary and Melanie Bowe from the Rotary Club of Deer Park in Washington State, USA. Both couples were holidaying in Scotland and wanted to include a visit to a Scottish Rotary Club on their tours. Everyone enjoyed getting to know each other over the meal and exchanging information about their respective clubs in Australia and America. The international feel was completed by our speaker for the evening, club member Bill Crombie who was talking about his recent trip to South Africa.
Earlier in October the club had a visitor from even further away when we were joined by Patrick Fergusson from the Rotary Club of Hornby nr Christchurch, New Zealand. all in all a great month for sharing Rotary fellowship around the globe!
