Badger Set Band Evening
A special performance by the Badger Set Band helped to raise over £600 for Wildlife Aid and the East Surrey Branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
On Wednesday 31st October 2018, around 80 members, partners and friends of Leatherhead Rotary Club attended a special fundraising evening of live music at the Police Federation Headquarters in Highbury Drive, Leatherhead.
Special guests at the event were the Badger Set Band, who entertained everyone present with a selection of classic tunes and songs. Formed over twenty years ago by local music teacher, Cheryl Beasley, the Badger Set Band have to date raised over £15,000 for Leatherhead-based charity, Wildlife Aid (www.wildlifeaid.org.uk).
As well as the evening’s excellent entertainment, everyone present also enjoyed an excellent two-course dinner, and a raffle at the event helped to raise over £600 for Wildlife Aid and the East Surrey Branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (www.mndassociation.org), the club’s chosen charity for the current Rotary year.
