Crocus planting at Charlton Kings Junior School
In aid of End Polio Now, 24 children from the Charlton Kings Junior School planted almost 4000 crocuses at the school entrance after a small team of Rotarians prepared the ground.
On Wednesday 17th October a small team of Rotarians prepared the ground at the entrance to Charlton Kings Junior School. A team of 24 children from the Eco Committee at the school planted almost 4000 crocuses.
I wanted to thank you and your team for coming into school yesterday to help the children with the planting of crocus corms to commemorate the Rotary Club's End Polio Campaign.
The children absolutely loved the experience and it was a great way for our newly formed Eco Committee to mark the beginning of their work around the school to improve our environment.
We now look forward to seeing the crocuses bloom early next year!
