Rotary Club of Les Andelys

Newark Castle Rotary Club is twinned with Les Andelys Rotary Club, France.

Newark Castle Rotarians will travel to Les Andelys, Normandy on Thursday 2nd and return on the 5th May 2019. Rotary clubs considering such a venture can choose a partner that shares similar interests, challenges, or language capabilities. Rotarians can also correspond with clubs located in an area of geographical interest.

Les Andelys is set magnificently deep in one of the great loops of the Seine river, overlooked by high chalk hillsides. The main sights are the Ruins of the Gaillard Castle (dating from the 12th century), the Churches of Notre-Dame and Saint Sauveur and the Nicholas Poussin museum. This is also a good place to arrange Riverboat trips along the Seine.
