79th Charter Night

President Joe Fagan welcomed 86 guests to a successful Charter Celebration in 2018

Over 80 joined Cockermouth Rotary Club to celebrate their 79th Charter on November 30 2018. Heading up the top table was the year's President Mr Joe Fagan.
Guests on the evening included the CEO and chairman of James Walkers International, Mr Peter Needham and the Mayor of Cockermouth David Malloy, accompanied by Lynn Malloy.
Councillor Malloy presented the Club with a Shield of Honour for the Club's work within the local community.
The evening also saw Rotarian Mike Rooney presented with a Paul Harris Fellowship for his work as Chair of Youth Services. The evening had opened with musical performances by Sam and Jenny Weakley, the respective winners of the Instrumental and Vocal Rotary Young Musician Competition 2017,  ( accompanied by Mum, Fiona )
