The North East War Memorials Project (NEWMP), established in 2004, has a database of over 4,850 Memorials and covers the historic counties of Northumberland, Newcastle and Durham.

Janet told us about the many different types of memorials and some of the stories around them. More information can be obtained here: www.newmp.org.uk
