Rotary Christmas Events 2018

Barton Rotary Club's aim at Christmas is to bring some joy and happiness to "as many people as possible" of all ages, in Barton and the villages.

At our Photos with Santa event, part of the town Christmas festival, Santa was kept very busy for all of the afternoon. Trinity Church members provided refreshments and a Soft Toys Tombola. The lecture Hall was very full, making it a successful event.

The annual free Christmas afternoon for Senior Citizens packed the Lecture Hall once again. The Senior Citizens were superbly entertained by the Wootton St. Andrew's School Choir and by the first performance of the newly formed Barton Ukulele Band. Our guests joined in the singing during both performances.  Then followed a fabulous afternoon tea.

Santa was again escorted round the streets of Barton and the Low Villages by Rotarians and there were collections at Tesco and the Co-op.

Our Christmas Day Dinners and helped over 60 Senior Citizens to enjoy a festive meal, delivered with a friendly smile.

Thank-you.       A massive thank you to all who donated during our Christmas Collections, also Pip Bennett at Tesco, the Co-op, Trinity Methodist Church and those who provided trees for the Christmas Tree Festival.
