Shine A Light Support Service - Sam Schooler and Marie Stephenson

Helping over Forty Families in Coventry.

On Tuesday 15th January 2019, the Rotary Club of Coventry North was pleased to welcome Sam Schooler and Marie Stephenson, who were hosted by Past President Steve Gage.  They were representatives of the charity ‘Shine a Light’, which supports families affected by childhood cancer, from diagnosis to as long as they need it.  Services include ‘Open’ house drop in sessions, counselling services, parent and toddler groups, teen social group, activity days and day trips, home visits and refreshment at oncology clinics.

President John Green introduced the young lady volunteers, who gave a spended illustrated talk, impressing members, and explaining they had approximately forty families in the Coventry and Warwickshire area involved.  Past President John Green thanked Sam and Marie and presented them with a cheque, wishing them every success with the charity in the future.  Rotarian Brian Sharp took photographs
