Community Service Student Award
Nominated Secondary School students receive a cash prize and the Rotary Club of Brighouse Trophy for Community Service.

This year we have donated £100 each to Hipperholme Grammar School, William Henry Smith Foundation and Brighouse High School towards their student prize awards events.
Oct 2022All prize money for schools to award has been sent and increased to £30 per student
Background
Each year six Secondary schools in the Brighouse area award Rotary prizes to pupils who have contributed to the community or the health and well-being of their fellow pupils.
Each awardee gets a trophy to keep for a year and a gift voucher provided by the club. The current President has the honour of attending the school prize giving evening to award the trophy.

British Legion Poppy appeal
more Helping the British Legion by distributing the poppies to shops and businesses around Brighouse as well as helping on the sale tables in Tesco and Sainsburys.
Tree of Light
more "Buy" a light to remember a loved one, all money goes to the President's chosen LOCAL charity.
Brighouse Rest Centre
more We decorate the rest centre and provide refreshments one Saturday in December - allowing the volunteerl team a week off.
Santa Float
more The Project Local Santa Float is our annual collaboration with other service organisations in Brighouse. Walking the streets collecting money!
1940s Weekend Car Park
more We manage the car park for the event. There is a free vintage bus ride into town and back from the car park.
