A Tree of Lights

"Buy" a light to remember a loved one, all money goes to the President's chosen LOCAL charity.

The dedication ceremony at the start of December

The Tree of Light project has raised more than £35,000 for local causes since its inception in 2003. Each December we erect a Christmas tree outside Sainsburys and invite people to sponsor a light in memory of a loved one. The Tree has become a Brighouse institution. Additional money is raised through bucket collections in Sainsburys and Tesco. The tree is there until New Year and many subscribers donate year after year.

This year we raised £2000 which was given to Smart Move, a charity helping the homeless find accommodation in Calderdale.

Thank you to Sainsburys and Tesco for their ongoing support.
