Penny Bridge charters

The satellite Rotary Club ‘Penny Bridge’ formally chartered at a ceremony attended by the District 1180 Governor, Beryl Cotton PHF, Wallasey Rotary Club President Bill Wyllie, District membership Chair, Tony Cotton PHF; Assistant District Governor Ray Allan PHF and members from Penny Bridge.

The ceremony was held on June 23rd 2018 exactly four years after the inauguration of Penny Bridge Satellite Club of Wallasey.

District Governor Beryl, in one of her final duties as DG, invested the Penny Bridge Club of Wallasey’s first President, Cassandra Sohal, with the presidential jewel and the club’s certificate of chartering.

It was particularly fitting that DG Beryl conducted the ceremony as she was present at the original informal meeting which worked towards the setting up of Penny Bridge as a satellite of the Wallasey Rotary Club.
