Rotary has been raising funds to eradicate the world of polio since 1979 and today 99.9% of the world is polio free

Here in Great Harwood and Rishton 40,000 crocus bulbs have been planted and we add to this number every year.

You can see them in the parks, on the grass verges and in gardens.

When children receive the vaccine their little finger is coated in a purple dye; so we planted purple crocus to remind us of that
