Attended Dumfries Academy.

Chemical engineer for 5 years, minister for 30 years. 5 different charges: 1 urban priority, three suburban, 1 independent church south of Birmingham.

Married to Frances for 39 years, their two children have flown the nest.
John has just become a Grampa.
He keeps discus tropical fish, and he plays racquetball (badly)
