Bexhill Rotary Spring Lunch

Bexhill Rotary held their annual Spring Lunch at St Mary’s School on Sunday, 14th April hosting around 90 Rotarians, past Rotarians, partners and guests.

Joining in were some 23 Senlac Rotarians, honorary members and wives and partners, a bigger contingent than last year, who enjoyed a sherry reception before a four course carvery lunch and all the social trimmings that go with such an occasion. After lunch, a Pestalozzi student who is President of the Pestalozzi Rotaract Club gave a very polished talk about the school and, in particular, the Rotaract Club’s achievements and the pride they felt in being part of the Rotary family. He then introduced some of the other students who demonstrated dances reflecting their international culture.

Senlac Rotarian Eddie McCall spoke about the Yellowmen’s last visit to Kenya and thanked Bexhill Rotary for all the support they had given over the years. Paul McMath, CEO of the Don McMath Foundation, spoke about the Foundation’s work in Thailand, one of the projects supported by Bexhill Rotary. Bexhill President Graham Forster also spoke of the support the club are giving to WaterSurvivalBox, and other International projects. The afternoon concluded with Bexhill Rotarian Colin Stutely  showing his auctioneering skills  as he auctioned  donations from local businesses.  Proceeds from the lunch will be shared between causes supported by the  Bexhill Rotary’s International fund.

Senlac Rotary would like to say a big thank you to Bexhill Rotary for their hospitality, an excellent lunch and their continued support for the Yellowmen.
