29 members and one guest (Tony Tucker) attended at Oake Manor to hear a talk about the work of BIBIC. It’s a small charity based at Langport which supports children and young people who have a wide range of developmental difficulties. The therapy is mainly based on Neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to reorganise and form new neurological connections, given the right stimuli.
While BIBIC will support children from any part of the country and a few from overseas, over three quarters of them come from the South West of England and South Wales. Parents are expected to pay up to 30% of the cost with the remainder coming from fundraising.
The president reported briefly on an excellent 3 club meeting hosted by RC Nykvarn at Upsalla. 5 members and three partners from Taunton Vale attended.
A letter of thanks for our recent donation has been received from Somerset Sight.
28 teams have entered our Charity Golf Day but more teams are needed to ensure success. All members are asked to lobby their golfing friends and contacts.
The Ball Draw was won by Phil Greenaway (not present) so a roll over.
