District Quiz

On Thursday 20th February the Rotary Club of South Queensferry held a fellowship evening in the Hawes Inn. This was followed by a round of the Rotary District Quiz in which a team from the Queensferry club met a team from the Rotary Club of Linlithgow Bo'ness. Before the quiz, President Jim McCulloch welcomed the visitors and Past President and Assistant District Governor David Buchanan spoke about the long connection between the Queensferry and Linlithgow clubs. Indeed Linlithgow Bo'ness was Queensferry's mother club. In a spirited contest, ably supervised by guest Quizmaster David Pomfret, Linlithgow Bo'ness won by 28 points to 23 and go on to the next round. The teams were Linlithgow Bo'ness: Tom Davidson, Tony Edwards, James Frame and Ian Wallace. John Binnie was the scorer.  South Queensferry: Jim McCulloch, Matt Purdie, Alan Brown and Graham Clarkson. Graham Leith was the scorer.
