Donation to Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice

The Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice has been one of President Anne's main charities for the year.

On behalf of Tewkesbury Rotary Club, a cheque for £1,000 was presented by Andrew Turner, organiser of the Charity Concert at Tewkesbury Abbey with Gloucestershire Youth Orchestras, to Alysia Cameron- Price, Community Fundraising Manager and Elise Hoadley, Sue Ryder Hospice Director. Elise then gave a brief over-view of how the money will benefit the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice , which is the only palliative care inpatient unit in Gloucestershire. It provides care and support for people living with a life-limiting condition, as well as supporting their families. The Hospice provides Hospice at Home, offering the same standard of care in someone's home as they would receive in the hospice. The individual can therefore spend their final days in their own home if they choose. This service reaches out to areas in Gloucestershire, including Tewkesbury. As this is one of my chosen Charities for 2018-2019, I am proud of the support the Club has given, through fundraising activities, to enable £5,500 to be given to such a worthy cause.
