Board Meeting:
There will be a Board meeting this evening at 7.30 pm at Sue’s house.
End Polio Stickers and Posters:
End Polio stickers, posters and badges are now available.
Red Letter Day:
Pat won the Red Letter Day this year and she and Robert had a few days in Bournemouth.
Meal Steward:

Caption Competition:
The winner of the Caption Competition will be announced at the meeting on September 26th.
Raffle Prizes:
Jean still needs more raffle prizes.
District Conference, September 6th to 8th:
This was attended by Sue and other members and was felt to have been successful with some excellent and entertaining speakers. The next District Conference is scheduled for October 23rd to 25th at Eastbourne.
Club Charity Golf Day, Friday, September 6th:
This was a very successful day which raised £2,106 and was enjoyed by everyone. The next Charity Golf Day has been organised for Friday, September 4th 2020.
Village Litter Pick, Sunday, September, 8th:
The Chestfield Village Litter Pick took place on Sunday. The next litter pick will take place in March 2020.
Ramsgate Tunnels, Saturday, September 14th,:
Sadly, it has been necessary to cancel this event due to poor support.
Sunday, September 15th, Car Parking:
The next car parking will be on Sunday, September 15th and Godfrey would always be glad more help.
Friday, September 20th, Jenny Samper’s Memorial Service:
The memorial service for Jenny will be held at Canterbury Cathedral at 2.00 pm on Friday, September 20th. Members attending will be meeting at the main gate to the Cathedral in the Buttermarket at 1.30 pm.
Friday, September 20th, Pilgrims’ Hospice, Night to Shine:
Pilgrims’ Hospice is holding a Night to Shine walk around Canterbury on the evening of Friday, September 20th starting at 19.00. Leila Ilkhan has asked if the Club could provide volunteers to marshal. If you can help could you please contact David K. Volunteer marshals are asked to meet at Canterbury College in New Dover Road at 17.45 i for a briefing at 18.00 before taking up their positions at 19.00. There is plenty of parking at Canterbury College. Alternatively why not join in the walk?
Please wear your Rotary T-shirts and Hi-Viz tabards if you have them.
Thursday, October 3rd, Visit to Whitstable Museum:
Thirteen have signed up for the guided tour of Whitstable Museum and spaces are still available.
Saturday, October 5th, Gardening at the Whitstable and Tankerton Hospital:
Please sign-up if you can help for gardening at the Whit and Tank meeting at 0930.
Tuesday, October, 15th, Escape Room:
Godfrey needs to fill 16 places for the Escape Room on October 15th and so far 9 have signed up. If you would like to go please sign-up soon as otherwise an invitation will be given to other Clubs to make up the numbers.
Saturday, October 9th, Club Quiz Night:
The Club Quiz Night will be held on Saturday, November 9th at All Saints Church Hall in aid of Hi Kent, Alzeimers Research and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf. The cost will be £10.00 per person and so far about half the tickets have been sold. There is a form in the folder so please sign-up.
Raffle:
Spyros won a bottle of wine which he gave back and David M. won a pot of jam.
Master of Alms;
Today was love an elephant day so almost everyone paid up.
