Minutes of the Meeting

Ian Thomas and Reggie Taylor Harding:

            A warm welcome back to Ian and Reggie. 

John Graham:

            Nick has seen John recently.    He is better but not 100 percent.    John was    sent best wishes from the Club.

Shoeboxes:

            There will not be a Shoeboxes collection this year.

Board Meeting, Thursday, November 14^th:

            The next Board meeting will be this evening at 7.30 pm.   Please note that      it will be held at Andrew Brealy’s house at 17 Curtis Wood Park Road,      Herne Bay, CT6 7TY.

Club Quiz Night, Saturday, November 9^th:

            Very special thanks to all who helped make the Quiz Night such a success.      £1,651.00 was raised for Hi Kent, Alzheimers Research UK and Hearing     Dogs for Deaf People.     The Quiz Night for next year has been tentatively         fixed for November 14^th.

Remembrance Sunday, November 10^th:

            Sue laid a wreath on behalf of the Club at the War Memorial in Whitstable.

Whitstable Community Museum, November 11^th;

            Whitstable Community Museum had an event to celebrate the installation      of Invicta.     The Lord Mayor of Canterbury was there was the Guest of            Honour and Ron and David             K. represented the Club. 

Basketry Workshop, November 12^th:

            It sounds like a great time was had by all and £60.00 was raised for Club       charities.    

Saturday, November 17^th and Sunday, November 24^th:

            Please don’t forget car parking on November 17^th and November 24^th.           Godfrey would always welcome more help.

Saturday, December 7^th, Christmas Dinner:

            If you have not sent Ron your menu selection please contact him as soon     as possible.     The payment of balances for the Christmas Dinners is due    by November             22^nd.     Please send payments to David M. or make a bank             transfer.  

Raffle:

            Pat won a bottle of wine and Lesley a calendar.

Master of Alms:

            Nick can’t be far short of his target!
