David Bowley:
David has had a problem with his pacemaker which necessitated hospitalisation but he now home and recovering. Everyone sent him their best wishes and we look forward to seeing him again soon.
Irene Benning:
Great news from Ron that Irene has been given the ‘all clear’.
Ron Benning:
Ron will be having a ‘stupid’ haircut some time soon and will be after everyone for sponsorship. There will be a sponsorship form in the folder.
President Elect 2020/21:
Many thanks to Lesley who has very kindly offered to step in as President Elect for 2020/21.
Young Chef Competition, Saturday, November 23rd:
Congratulations to Owain for organising a very successful event with Kathy and Robert. Many thanks also to Chef Chris who provided all the ingredients and who will be mentoring the two winners. Two girls, one from HB High and one from St. Anselms, won and they will take part in the next round on February 1st.
All Saints Open Afternoon, Saturday, November 23rd:
Ron, Dave, Diane, Jean and Andrew took part in the Open Afternoon in All Saints Church Hall, there were not many members of the public but good contacts were made with other local organisations. Especial thanks are due to Diane who found herself running the tea stall.
Wednesday, December 4th, Delivery of Cards for Christmas Collection:
For everyone delivering cards for the Christmas Collection please try to have them delivered before Wednesday, December 4th .
Thursday, December 5th, Walk4Water Presentation:
At the breakfast meeting next Thursday, December 5th David M. and Andrew B. will demonstrate of the new presentation for Walk4Water and give details of the new matchfunding arrangements.
Saturday, December 7th, Car Parking:
The next car parking will be on Saturday, December 7th and Godfrey needs more help to sign up. The car parking on Sunday, December 24th raised £134.00.
Saturday, December 7th, Christmas Dinner:
All the arrangements are now in hand for the Christmas Dinner at Mucini’s, 1-3 St. Anne’s Road, Tankerton, CT5 2DN at 7.00 for 7.30 pm. Ron is preparing place cards with menu choices but for couples there will be both choices on each card so for the sake of domestic, Christmas bliss please remember what you chose.
Sunday, December 8th, Christmas Collection:
The Christmas Collection will be on Sunday, December 8th meeting near the junction of Primrose Way and Chestfield Road at 4.00 pm. Could the Elves please remember to wrap up warm and bring a torch.
Monday, December 9th, Packing Christmas Collection:
Packing the Christmas Collection will take place and Jean and Andrew’s House, Willow Cottage, Church Street, Whitstable, CT5 1PG starting at 10.00 am.
Tuesday, December 10th, Christmas Decorations at the Whit and Tank:
Putting up the Christmas decorations at the Whit and Tank will be on Tuesday, December 10th meeting at the hospital at 6.00 pm. As the wards have recently been repainted it will not be possible to attach anything to the walls or the ceilings but there will will Christmas trees to be decorated.
Wednesday, January 22nd Visit to Rotary Radio followed by Dinner with RC Minster:
Details will be in the folder shortly but please put the date in your diary. Rotary Radio is in the former Criterion Theatre in Blue Town and we will meet there at 4.00. Afterwards we will join RC Minster on Sea for dinner.
Saturday, February, 1st, Second Round Young Chef Competition:

David K. won a bottle of wine and Maureen a box of stolen.
Master of Alms:
