Our 2nd Virtual ZOOM Meeting

At our second ZOOM Virtual Meeting, attendance continues to grow, new attendees this week were Ken Riley, Frank Randall, Don Jesson, Brian Hetherington, Dave Salt and Alan Todd. Fred Winkfield zoomed in briefly then lost his video (been fiddling with his buttons) but did have voice contact. Unfortunately Dave Salt's screen seemed to freeze and never seemed to have voice contact.

Peter Garwood reported on enquiries he has been making of Homeless Centre, who are currently managing OK. PE Martin has been speaking to our local MP who advised that local charities will be able to access a government pot of money to keep their core operations viable.Martin also updated us on our next meeting which will be a St George's Night quiz.

Geoff James disclosed his wine for the week was a New Zealand wine, a Cabernet Sauvignon - Oyster Bay and spoke about the unique production method the winery adopts.

Frank Randall gave us a burst on his banjo until he was shouted down and was able to enact the draw winners but there were so many I lost count (should have recorded the session).

All too soon President Brian after announcing birthdays (there were 4 I think) proposed the final toa.... as time was up and our screen went blank for another week of lockdown.

Sorry Geoff for getting wine wrong  my deaf aids are sans batteries at moment, awaiting new supplies from FGH.
