4 years ago it was decided by the Club to help young people, aged 12-16 years, who have been identified by schools, with the help of Tees Valley Sport, as having potential to go far in their particular sporting field. To date we have helped 5 "Future Champions"-a runner, a swimmer, twin judo stars, and a tennis player. The help the Club has provided has been some funding to help with the heavy costs they incur in buying equipment, and also by talking to the Club, which helps them with their confidence. They provide a vitality to the Club and the youngsters help out with Club activities whenever they can.
