Swimathon

The Swimathon presentation was held on Monday 19th February. Over 70 people attended with most of the charities represented.

15 charities raised over £12000. The club added 25% to all donations. Approach Staffordshire, Dougie Mac, Leek Gateway Club, MND, WaterAid, Impact Community Gym, British Skin Foundation, Versus Arthritis Trust, local schools and scouts and Leek Air Cadets all benfitted.

Each charity gave a short talk highlighting the aims of their charity, why they raiesed the money and the good it will do. It was especially heartening to see the young people of Leek speeking so well about their projects.

Next Year's Swimathon is on Staurday 21st September at Brough Park. Contact Roatarian Tim if you want to enter a team.
