Pat Chambers, Charity Development Manager, gave us an update on the work she is doing with Durham and Darlington NHS Charity.
The region has the highest level of new cancer cases in the country and the charity makes over 2 million patient contacts per year. This demand has led to need for the building of a new centre of excellence which is four times bigger than the original design.
The Charity is engaged in many activities to raise the £2m needed to complete the build and are looking for local businesses to contribute.
