Our Speaker - Ejay McDougal - The Kairos Initiative.
Objectives of Kairos Initiative
1. The prevention and relief of poverty and financial hardship in Nigeria, with the initial emphasis on areas affected by Boko-Haram, by providing or assisting in the provision of education, training, healthcare projects and all the necessary support designed to enable individuals to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient.
2. For the public benefit to promote the education (including social and physical training) of people under the age of 25 years in Nigeria in such ways as the charity trustees think fit, including by:
i. Awarding to such
persons scholarships, maintenance allowances or grants tenable at any secondary
school, university, college or institution of higher or further
education.
ii. Providing the
means for students to participate in competitions that encourage participation
in any of the arts.
iii. To assist in the
treatment and care of persons suffering from an illness of any description who
is unable to afford their medical bills or for whom illness has had an impact
on their ability to work; or in need of rehabilitation as a result of such
illness, by the provision of facilities for work and recreation.
