D1230 Annual Conference 2019

Golden Jubilee Hotel, Clydebank

A very successful Conference was held in the Golden Jubilee Hotel and Conference Centre, Clydebank on the weekend of 12th 13th Oct. A host of speakers entertained, educated and amused the delegates throughout.

Saturday was a day of laughter and music provided by DG Jimmy, Dr Peter Hughes and Matt Stewart.

Saturday evening started with a civic reception provided by West Dumbarton Council hosted by Provost Willie Hendrie. After dinner the entertainment was presented by singer Claire Grehan who encouraged the dinners to get up and dance.

Sunday was a more serious day with presentations by Susan Simpson, speaking about SIMBA a charity which supports families who suffering from the loss of babies, and, Jean Best talking about “Rotary and Peace”.

Some light relief was provided by samples and a presentation on “Bounce Back” a hangover cure. Possibly a good idea after Saturday night.
