President Douglas Dow welcomed Jimmy McBlane, a guest of Gordon Burgess and son of a former member and past president, and thirteen other members.

International convener Reay Mackay reported that the annual Bridge Night, this year in aid of the club's Malawi project, will be held in Helensburgh Rugby Club on Friday March 20 at 7.15 for 7.30pm. The cost will be £40 per table.

Primary Schools Quiz organiser Alastair Wilson reported that he and Arrochar Primary School headteacher Alison Palmer had visited the Three Villages Hall in Arrochar to discuss arrangements for the competition. He is still looking for quiz questions, particularly on TV and music. Youth Service convener Mike Jane said that three schools had entered the Young Photographer competition.

Douglas Dow invited members to donate used stamps, which help to raise funds for Oxfam.

The monthly raffle, this time sponsored by Ellie's Cellar and for a bottle of Glen Moray, a single Speyside malt from near Elgin, was won by Adam Muggoch who celebrates his birthday on Friday. The weekly raffle for a whisky miniature was won by Liz Talbot.
